1944 - Fort Neal, Louisiana.  A Black sergeant has been brutally murdered in the Deep South.  Capt. Davenport, a Howard University graduate and an attorney has been sent to investigate the murder.  The biggest obstacle... Davenport is a rarity... a black officer in a segregated army. Tensions flare as Davenport tries to discover the truth.
