Announcing the newest Elmwood Life Members!

 In News

The Elmwood Playhouse Board of Directors and the Life Membership Committee are delighted to announce the selection of Elmwood’s newest Life Members: Jennie Marino and Rob Ward.

Both Jennie and Rob are longtime Elmwood members and creatives, each having worked on shows for over 40 years. Between the two of them, they have lent their considerable talents to over 100 Elmwood productions.

Among their lists of contributions: Rob has served on the Board of Directors, has directed, produced, and designed shows as well as serving as technical director. He currently heads up our set construction committee, coordinating our shop and scenic elements. He has led Eagle Scout projects that have made improvements in our facility.

Jennie has created countless props, puppets, special effects, make up, photos, graphics, and other “assorted oddities” over many years on many productions. Jennie was a creator of our first full website, and she creates each of our Golden Elm Leaf Awards by hand. She has been a director and a member of the Board of Directors.

Both Rob and Jennie have professional careers in theater arts that started from their participation and training on Elmwood shows. They have shared their expertise as mentors, teaching our volunteers at technical theater training sessions at the Playhouse.

Our thanks go to Rob and Jennie for their longstanding commitment and many contributions to Elmwood Community Playhouse, and we congratulate them on this well-deserved honor.
