Audition This Week: A Time To Kill
The Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack NY will be holding auditions for its upcoming production of “A Time to Kill”, written by Rupert Holmes based on the John Grisham Novel and directed by Joe Albert Lima. “A Time to Kill” is a Justice on trial in black and white in small southern town.
AUDITIONS:
Tuesday and Wednesday 12/1 &12/2 at 7:30PM and Sunday 12/6 at 4:00PM
CALLBACKS:
Tuesday and Wednesday 12/8 and 12?9 at 7:30PM (by invitation only)
PERFORMANCES:
Friday, March 11th thru Saturday, April 9th (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with possible Wednesday and Thursdays)
SHOW DESCRIPTION:
A 10 old black girl is raped, her avenging father is now on trial. A young lawyer fights for the father’s life in the middle of a media storm, where justice is the victim.
CAST REQUIREMENTS:
(11 Males 3 Females and 3 roles that could be cast as either gender.)
All the characters speak in a deep southern dialect with the exception of Ellen Roark,who should have a New England accent.
