Auditions for “A Sherlock Holmes Showcase” April 10 & 11 at Elmwood Playhouse

Auditions are being held for “A Sherlock Holmes Showcase” at Elmwood Playhouse on Monday, April 10 and Tuesday, April 11 at 7PM, 10 Park Street, Nyack. Callbacks are Thursday, April 13.

PERFORMANCES: Friday, July 14 thru Saturday, August 5 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with possible Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Elmwood Playhouse needs to solve the clues for a cast of seven versatile actors, 2 women and 5 men, WHO WILL EACH PLAY TWO ROLES in an evening of classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle adventures adapted by Tal Aviezer and directed by Margaret Young. NOTE: The actors playing Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in Act 1 will switch roles for Act 2.

The iconic Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson are onstage sleuths in these two intriguing one-act adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s mysteries. They crack codes, survive a rare disease, and decipher perplexing clues to keep you guessing throughout “The Adventure of the Dancing Men” and “The Adventure of the Dying Detective.”
