Babbling Brook Players Needs Another Young Male Actor for “Taming of the Shrew”
NOTE: This is NOT an Elmwood event.
Calling young male actors! Still one role open for “Taming of the Shrew,” an outdoor Shakespeare production to be produced by Babbling Brook Players in several parks in Ramapo from July 28th to August 6th.
Derek Tarson is directing.
A male actor (20-40) is needed for either Lucentio or Tranio (and the role will be determined after auditions to see how the chemistry works best). The descriptions of the roles are as follows:
LUCENTIO (male, any race, 20s) – Straight-laced and sweet, wealthy, young man. Like a young “Niles Crane.”
TRANIO (male, any race, 20s) – Lucentio’s personal assistant. A clever schemer – almost always thinking three steps ahead.
Please audition this Tuesday, April 18th at 7:30 at the Ramapo Senior Center (upstairs), which is located at the intersection of Mayer Road and Route 202 in Montebello. (Street address is 319 Haverstraw Road.) Alternatively, please contact the director, Derek Tarson, at (845) 405-1309 or dtarson@gmail.com to set up a private audition. Rehearsals to start in mid-May.
