Reading series to perform January 19th, 11 AM

The eighth play to be read as part of the Cold Reading Series will be playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis’s, “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” which tells the story of a court case over the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot.

A bevy of historic witnesses including Mother Theresa, Satan and Pontius Pilate deliver their testimony with honesty and humor. A Law and Order episode for the ages- as the play unfolds we examine our ideals and ideas of love, divine mercy, free will and forgiveness coupled with the notion that evil may not be the presence of hate but the absence of compassion. Reading is free.
