Elmwood and ACOR – Special Event Saturday May 12!
Join us for a lively interview, Q&A and reception with Chris Silva, who has run the Bardavon Theater and UPAC for nearly 25 years.
Chris will speak about his experience integrating the relationship of theater and community: “I’m passionate about how what we do in our theaters affects the communities we live in. Both the Bardavon and Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) are in the downtowns of their cities where, historically, theaters have always been. The fact that we bring nearly a hundred thousand people into those communities has a serious positive impact on the economy, as well as the quality of life and how people feel about their community. I think what drives us is impact — the impact in the communities we serve.”
The interview will be conducted by Elmwood Playhouse President Steve Taylor on Saturday May 12 from 11AM to 1PM at Elmwood Playhouse. Tickets are $16, ACOR and Elmwood members get a 50% discount!
