Elmwood Collecting Food Donations for People to People

Elmwood is collecting non-perishable food items which will be delivered to People to People’s food pantry for distribution to our neighbors in need. More than 5000 people in Rockland depend on People to People for food assistance each month. The need is ongoing–and the food drive at Elmwood is as well. As the basket fills, we will deliver to the People to People offices in West Nyack–where anyone who walks in requesting immediate food assistance walks out with a three-day emergency food package and can sign up for additional services and ongoing assistance. You can help! Members and visitors to our theater are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items in the Elmwood Lobby when they come for a meeting, a rehearsal, or a show. The basket for food items is in the lobby directly in front of the Box Office desk.

People to People has identified that particular needs this Spring are 1 and 2 lb. bags of dried beans, boxed cereal, canned pineapple, canned pears, canned salmon. A 14-15 oz. size can is ideal for distribution, but all donations of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated.
