Elmwood Playhouse opens 75th season with Cole Porter

The 75th Season of Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, NY begins! On Elmwood’s stage from September 16- October 8, Night & Day – Love Lost and Found Through the Eyes of Cole Porter is a gorgeous, tune-filled, dance-filled love story that is a New York Metropolitan premiere. Music and lyrics are by Cole Porter, based on an idea by Robert Cacioppo, and conceived and written by Robert Cacioppo with Artie D’Alessio.

Tucked away in a Berkshires mansion circa 1930, two couples discover hidden intimacies beneath the veneer of art deco sophistication. Stylish and surprising, this elegant, melodic homage is sure to delight existing Porter fans and create many new ones.

Night and Day is directed by Alan Demovsky, with musical direction and musical arrangement by Victoria Casella, and choreography by Steven Dougherty.
 This new musical is presented by special arrangement with the Cole Porter Estate.

The cast includes: Grace Callahan as Tilly, Michael Del Valle as Butler O’Reilly, Candace Lynn Matthews as Linda, Damon Quattrocchi as Charles, and Jason Summers as Donald.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m., and Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m.
