Carolynn Whitford (Soprano) and Kandi Rosenbaum (Orator) will perform in Poets and Art Songs 2026 at Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg on Oct. 3 at 7 pm. The recital includes works from Garnett, Elgar, Heine, Liszt, Shakespeare, and Finzi woven together to reflect the mystery of John Masefield’s poem “The Seal Man.” This unique presentation blends these works with Masefield’s narrative poem and composer Rebecca Clarke’s 1922 art song “The Seal Man,” in a “first of its kind” reimagined scene (script by Carolynn Whitford.)
Tickets are $30 for Harmony Hall members/$35 for non-members and can be purchased through the Friends of Harmony Hall website. All proceeds benefit the restoration of the historic Harmony Hall Mansion. A reception follows the event.
