Elmwood’s 2026 Halloween Experience

With help from Ellen Blakely and the Development Committee we are creating a “Haunted
Nyack” themed parade float for Nyack’s annual Halloween parade. The float will  feature street scenes filled with scary creatures operated by behind-the-scene puppeteers. Walking ghouls twirling lighted ghosts  will complete the spooky scene.  While we have a commitment on a vehicle for the event we are looking for a flatbed trailer we can set the float on, but preferably one not more than 12’ in length.

Anyone with leads on a trailer should reach out to Rob: rward@hvc.rr.com.

The parade is on Saturday October 24 with a rain date of Sun Oct 25. If you are interested in helping out or dressing up please reach out to Ellen: dracenstein@gmail.com.  (If you commit to being in the parade, you need to be available on both days, just in case!)

In addition to banner walkers, we are seeking 8 ghouls with a Victorian steampunk vibe to serve as Ghost Handlers.
