We are thrilled to announce that Albert Elyjiw and Jack Binder were awarded the Golden Elm Leaf on June 2 for their exceptional service to Elmwood. Jack and Albert work with the set construction crew—so their faces may not be as familiar to our audiences. But their outstanding work enriches every show. Rob Ward and Wendy Portney presented the awards, designed and created by Jennie Marino. The many superlative adjectives Rob and Wendy used to describe Albert and Jack only scratch the surface of how important they are to our theater. (Scratched surface? Don’t worry—Jack will have it sanded and Albert will have it painted in no time!) Joking aside, the skill and artistry of these two craftsmen are invaluable to Elmwood and contribute greatly to our reputation for high quality, professional productions. Thank you Jack and Albert!
