Member Carolyn Whitford to Perform Arias & Art Songs  at Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg

Long-time Elmwood member Carolynn Whitford, who performed her 2022 Arias and Art Songs, “This Shining Night” in a delightful Elmwood workshop in August, will bring her 2023 program Arias and Art Songs, “Music of Spring” to Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg this May 20 at 7 p.m. A trained soprano, Carolynn studied voice at the Mannes College of Music in New York. Her singing career includes first soprano with the New York Choral Society and stage credits in opera and musical theater in Rockland County and the New York City community.

For the 2023 program, Carolynn has partnered with esteemed baritone Dan Cohen, who appeared at Elmwood as Javert in Les Miserables and Tateh in Ragtime. Thomas Hoetzl, who accompanied Carolyn at Elmwood in August, joins Arias and Art Songs for his third year as pianist. All proceeds from the performance will be donated to Friends of Harmony Hall’s “Not Just a Front Porch” renovation fundraising campaign.  A champagne reception will be served after the concert.
