Much Ado About Nothing With The Babbling Brook Players
NOTE: This is NOT an Elmwood Performance
Elmwood members Derek Tarson, as Leonato, Kevin Vislocky, as Don John, and Gordon Wolotira, as Antonio, will be appearing in a FREE production of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” starting Friday, July 29th – running through Sunday, August 14th. This delightful comedy is being directed by former Elmwood member, Matt Masiello, and is lightened by 1920s costumes and music.
The first weekend of the production will take place in Clark Park – at 59 Campbell Avenue in Airmont – on Friday through Sunday 7/29 through 7/31 – all performances at 6:30. Bring your own lawn chair and bug spray – but after the recent heat wave – this weekend should be quite comfortable. In case of rain, the production will relocate to the second floor of the Ramapo Senior Center on Mayer Drive in Montebello near the intersection of Route 202.
The second weekend of the production will take place on the lawn of Montebello Village Hall at 1 Montebello Road in Montebello. (In case of rain, the show will relocate to the Ramapo Senior Center mentioned above.) Friday through Sunday, 8/5 through 8/7, at 6:30 p.m.
The third weekend will be Babbling Brook’s first venture towards indoors productions with performances at Shades Repertory Theater, 64 New Main Street in Haverstraw on Thursday, 8/11, and Saturday, 8/13 at 8:00 p.m. (no performance on Friday, 8/12). Visit shadesrep.com. And the final performance will be in the spacious Rose Hall at the Green Meadow Waldorf School, at 307 Hungry Hollow Road in Chestnut Ridge, NY at 6:00 on Sunday, 8/14.
This production brings together four of the members of the acclaimed production of Much Ado at Elmwood Playhouse in 2011 (Derek Tarson, Kevin Vislocky, Matt Masiello, and Kristian Comer), and promises to be a fun summer entertainment for all!
