Part Two Reading of “The Inheritance” on Saturday 7-31-2021

The Cold Reading series ends its 3rd Season with part two of The Inheritance, by Matthew Lopez on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Elmwood Playhouse. Based on Howards End by EM Forester, it explores the question – What does the current generation of gay men owe its forebears? Cast: Kenneth Hatlee, Tom Olori, Aaron Newcome, Joseph Cobb, Michael Coyle, Ken Laboy Vasquez, John C. Anderson, Sam Negin, Michael Serpe, Charlie Scatamacchia, Michael Edan, Derek Tarson, and Margaret Young.

The series will then begin its 4th Season starting September 18, 2021, with Laura Gunderson’s The Book of Will. The series has focused on reading plays written since 2000 and has successfully read such plays as Sweat, Airline Highway, In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play, The Mother F*cker with the Hat, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Oslo, Barbecue, By The Way, Meet Vera Stark, The Conversation and Detroit ’67. We were fortunate enough to continue the series over Zoom through 2020 and are excited that we are now back to in-person readings at Elmwood.
