Tal Aviezer Performs Title Role in Richard III
NOTE: This is NOT an Elmwood event
For many seasons, audiences at the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum have enjoyed the immersive theatrical experience of watching Sherlock Holmes and John Watson match wits with Victorian villains in Tal Aviezer’s dramatic adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. Next month, Aviezer’s work can be experienced at Elmwood Playhouse in A Sherlock Holmes Showcase. This month, the beautiful rooms and grounds of the Bartow-Pell mansion are inhabited by a Shakespearean villain–Richard III–with Aviezer in the title role. Tal Aviezer, author of Elmwood’s upcoming production of A Sherlock Holmes Showcase is performing Richard III with the Red Monkey Theater Group where he is Artistic Director. Kenneth Laboy Vazquez, who appeared at Elmwood in Sweat and Kelly Kirby from Elmwood’s production of Last Fall are also in the cast. The final five performances are June 22 – 25. See this outstanding production with Tal as the infamously manipulative villain carving a bloody path to power. Then next month, see his work as a playwright come to life on the Elmwood stage in A Sherlock Holmes Showcase.
