Lisa Spielman is an active performer and director in community theaters throughout Rockland, Westchester, and New York City, and a proud member of Elmwood since 2007. She served on Elmwood’s Play Selection Committee for four years, including two as chair, and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2015, serving as Vice President since her election. Currently liaison to the Finance and Membership areas, she has been heavily involved in grants and fundraising. Lisa has also served as a board member and officer for The Lenrow Fund, and for The Nursery School of the Nyacks. Professionally, Lisa is a research psychologist and biostatistician with a Ph.D. from New York University, specializing in research on Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. As a consultant for Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine, the Brain Trauma Foundation, and Weill-Cornell Medical Center, she is the lead statistician on over $25 million in private and federally-funded research grants. She has two children, Maris and Dylan, and lives in Congers.
