Thank You from our Elmwood President, Steve Taylor

 In News

On behalf of Elmwood Playhouse, I want to thank everyone who assisted in making our third annual fundraising gala, A Little Night of Music, a tremendous success. On Saturday June 15th, 150 guests donned their garden party attire and raised much-needed funds that will allow Elmwood to continue providing live, affordable theater in downtown Nyack, to expand our community partnerships, and to stay dry in the process!

A special thanks to our host PJ Mouquin, whose historic home was perfect on a lovely summer evening. Thanks to Jimmy Guarasci and Uncle Giuseppe’sfor the mouthwatering buffet, to The Heartfelt Quartet and our own Elmwood Harmony Collective for entertainment, and to our auctioneer Barry Cherwinfor making it so easy and fun to give away money. We are grateful to our gala committee,  board of directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, underwriters, donors and anyone who raised a paddle. And let’s not forget Steve Carroll, whose leap into the pool was not pre-planned, we swear, but was certainly one of the highlights of the night.

Tiffany M. Card and Julie Wendholt have served for three straight year as gala committee co-chairs. Through their brilliant and dedicated leadership we’ve been able to raise almost $150,000 dollars in those three years. It’s impossible to thank them enough.

See you all next year!
Steve Taylor
President of the Board
