Two easy ways to support Elmwood Playhouse!
Even in this difficult and unprecedented year, we still find joy in the season and signs of hope for 2021. We are more grateful than ever for the support of you, our Elmwood Playhouse family.
As a volunteer organization, our costs go down when we aren’t producing shows. Even so, it costs us almost $9,000 a month to maintain the facility, ensuring it will be ready for an audience when we reopen. As we close the book on 2020, we hope that you will consider two specific opportunities to support Elmwood.
- Just two months ago, Denise Beckerle, who was active as an actress, director, and music director at Elmwood for over sixty years, passed away. In her memory, her husband Pete has generously offered to match any contribution made to Elmwood through the end of 2020. Every dollar you contribute this month effectively becomes two dollars.
- We continue to encourage you to become a monthly sustainer at a level that’s comfortable for you. $10 a month would be a tremendous show of support. Even if you don’t itemize, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) allows a $300 deduction for cash gifts to public charities.
