is happy to be back at Elmwood Playhouse, this time working behind the scenes as assistant to director Joe Albert Lima. She performed here for the first time in August Wilson’s Two Trains Running in the role of Risa. In 2009 Joy took time off from acting to go back to school for Medical Assistant. Missing the entertainment field, she started her own company, J. J. Merriweather Productions, turning her attention to writing, producing and directing. Currently Joy is working on two of her screenplays, and hopes to have them in production later this year.
