Leslie Smithey

Leslie’s recent return to the stage in 2014 included a revival of Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years, portraying Dr. Bessie Delany for 25 performances through the M&M Library Theatre Productions in Westchester and Rockland Counties and several venues in Connecticut. Other memorable characters include Mrs. Muller in Doubt (M&M), Violet Imbry in Play On! (Hand to Mouth Players), and Addie, the slave and moral compass of the dysfunctional Hubbard family in The Little Foxes (YCP Theatreworks). Last and briefly seen on occasion doing readings for the Westchester Collaborative Theatre and enjoying a fleeting moment on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire (Season One), Leslie will continue honing her craft at the Stella Adler Studios this summer, and looks forward to returning to Elmwood in the future.
