This is Marisa’s first production with Elmwood, and she is very excited to work with this extremely talented cast and crew. She has a very special connection with The Secret Garden, as it was the first Broadway show she saw at the age of 10, inspiring her to pursue theater. She is active in the North Jersey theater community, appearing with the Bergen County Players in The Most Happy Fella, Jack and the Beanstalk, The King and I, The Most Ridiculous Thing You Ever Hoid, and appeared in Murder at Cafe Noir and The Vagina Monologues with Leonia Players Guild. She has experience in stage management and costuming, and co-produced Glengarry Glen Ross last year for Bergen County Players. In her spare time, Marisa, who originally hails from Upstate NY (“no, not Poughkeepsie, try up near Ithaca“) is a long-time knitting novice, loves historical fiction, and can often be found singing karaoke at various locations around New Jersey. “A big thank you to Larry, Helene, and Penny for giving me the opportunity to bloom!”
