The Public Domain Players will be presenting one of the most favorite plays in the public domain – Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” – on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in a free Zoom reading.
Described by Oscar Wilde as “a trivial comedy for serious people” and hailed by the New York Times as an “endlessly funny comedy … swift, sardonic repartee (that) ripples through the ages,” it is no exaggeration to say that “Earnest” is one of the funniest comedies in the English language.
